Softball Hosts Boston College To Open ACC Play

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Carolina softball team returns home on Friday at 3 p.m. to open Atlantic Coast Conference play, hosting Boston College at Anderson Softball Stadium. The Tar Heels will play a doubleheader on Friday against the Eagles, before finishing the three-game series with a 12 p.m. Sunday matchup. Admission is free.
The original schedule to play one game on each Friday, Saturday and Sunday was changed on Thursday due to forcasted inclement weather.
For those unable to those unable to attend in person, Friday's doubleheader will also air live on the ACCNX, while Sunday's game will be on the ACC Network.
Carolina is coming off a 3-2 week, earning victories overVillanova, UNCG and UConn, but falling to No. 19 Michigan and No. 12 Oregon.
In that five-game stretch, junior Bri Stubbs batted a team-best .600, going 9-of-15 at the plate with five doubles, four RBIs, plating seven runs, drawing three walks and slugging .933%.
In the circle, Hannah George went 2-0, while Talia Hannappel earned her second save of the season.
