CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Each school year, Carolina Athletics honors members of each varsity team as Athletic Director's Scholar-Athletes, recognizing selected student-athletes for outstanding academic achievement.
The 2021-22 winners were honored at halftime of the final UNC men's basketball home game on Monday.
All have represented their teams with distinction, balancing the demands of participating in a varsity sport while also excelling academically. The majority of honorees are seniors, but in some cases an outstanding junior is selected.
Two student-athletes – Onyedikachi Ohia-Enyia from men's track and Abby Settlemyre from softball – were honored for the second year in a row.
