WBB Earns WBCA Academic Top 25 Special Mention

ATLANTA – Dedicated to a high standard in the classroom and on the court, North Carolina has been praised by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association by earning a spot on the 2025-26 Academic Top 25 Honor Roll as a special mention.
The WBCA highlights college women's basketball programs across the country that boast the highest GPAs among all student-athletes on their rosters this past season. As a team, the Tar Heels tallied a collective GPA of 3.442.
Excelling in the classroom and on the court, as a team this past season, North Carolina reached its third Sweet 16 in the last five seasons and rattled off 14 wins in Atlantic Coast Conference play for the most since 2012-13.
Five Tar Heels were recognized for their work in the classroom, with Laila Hull, Reniya Kelly, Taissa Queiroz, Blanca Thomas and Ciera Toomey all named to the 2025-26 All-ACC Academic Team.
