Men's Tennis Dominates At BC, 6-1

WEYMOUTH, MASS.—North Carolina won the doubles point and never looked back, defeating Boston College, 6-1, in Atlantic Coast Conference men's tennis action on Sunday morning at the Weymouth Tennis Club.
The Tar Heels took the doubles point and five of six singles matches in cruising to their ninth victory of the season. With the win, Carolina improved to 9-6 overall this season, including 4-2 in the ACC. The Eagles fell to 4-8, 0-4.
The Eagles won at No. 1 doubles by beating Casey Kania and Logan Zapp, but UNC grabbed wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the point. Brian Cernoch and Peter Murphy won, 7-6 (4) at No. 2 and Henry Lieberman and Benjamin Sigouin picked up a 6-2 win at No. 3.
Carolina got straight-set singles wins by Cernoch (at No. 1), Sigouin (No, 2), Zapp (No. 4), Anuj Watane (No. 5) and Murphy (No. 6).
The Tar Heels will now begin a four-match homestand, starting by hosting Louisville on Friday March 25 in Chapel Hill.
