Softball Hosts No. 4 FSU in Final ACC Home Series

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Carolina softball team will host No. 4 Florida State this weekend for a three-game ACC series, the Tar Heels' final conference home series of the season.
Carolina (21-20, 5-10 ACC) will face the Seminoles (37-4,17-4 ACC) at 6 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday, before finishing the series with a 12 p.m. Sunday matchup. Admission and parking are free.
For those unable to those unable to attend in person, all three games will be streamed live on ACCNX.
The Tar Heels (21-20, 5-10 ACC) are coming off a 3-0 midweek victory at Campbell on Wednesday night.
The series is also senior weekend for Carolina. The Tar Heels will honor their five graduating seniors, Taylor Greene, Taylor Puetz, Shayla Thompson, Sara Jubas and Hannah George, in a pre-game ceremony prior to Saturday's matchup.
Matchup Notes:
• In Carolina's last home series in Chapel Hill against the Seminoles during the 2019 season, the Tar Heels took 2-of-3 over then-No. 3 FSU
• The Tar Heels are 14-28 against the Seminoles at home
• Friday's game will be Carolina's twelfth game against a top-25 team and fourth top-10 game this season
• This is the first ACC series that pitching coach Chelsey Dobbins will be back for. She has been on maternity leave since before season started
• Sara Jubas currently ranks No. 2 in the ACC with 15 doubles on the season
• Bri Stubbs has drawn the fifth-most walks in the conference (26)
