Softball Falls To No. 4 FSU In Series Finale

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Carolina softball team fell to No. 4 FSU in the series finale on Sunday afternoon, 9-2.
The Seminoles were able to capitalize on the long ball in the loss, hitting four home runs.
Senior Hannah George took the loss in the circle, allowing four earned runs in 2.1 innings. Lilli Backes pitched the remaining 4.2 innings, allowing five earned runs with three strikeouts.
The Tar Heels (22-22, 6-11 ACC) were only able to get five hits in the game, led by Kianna Jones who went two-of-three at the plate with the sole two RBIs. Sara Jubas, Skyler Brooks and Taylor Greene also each had a base hit.
