Gray Named Tewaaraton Nominee

CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina's Chris Gray has been named to the list of 25 nominees for the men's Tewaaraton Award as the top lacrosse player in the nation. From the 25 nominees, five finalists will be named in May.
Gray, a graduate attackman from Wading River, N.Y., leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in goals (3.67) and points (5.92) per game. He is nine points away from breaking the NCAA Division I all-time career point record. He is also seven away from breaking the UNC single-season record in goals and eight away from breaking the UNC career goal record.
The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are comprised of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
