CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina women's rowing team is set to joint host with Duke the Lake Wheeler Invitational this Friday and Saturday on Lake Wheeler.

Live Results: Regatta Timing
The two-day event will be comprised of three rounds of six-lane racing at 2,000 meters. The first round will get underway at noon, and round two will start at 4 p.m. on Friday. The third and final round will kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
"This weekend is the biggest field we have had the opportunity to race this year," said head coach Erin Neppel. "We are excited about the ACC presence at the Invite before ACC Championships in a few weeks and look forward to facing some teams that we saw earlier this year. The team has continued to evolve and progress and has put in high-quality work at practice. It's been incredible to see the transformation in their rowing and how they see themselves as athletes. This weekend will be another opportunity to experience racing down the course among some very fast crews, and we're pretty stoked about it."
The event features three teams currently ranked in the CRCA/USRowing Pocock Division I Coaches Poll, with Penn claiming the No. 9 ranking, Duke at No. 11, and Syracuse coming in at No. 15. The field also includes Boston University, Clemson, and Louisville, who received votes in the most recent poll. Boston College, Bucknell, Georgetown, Kansas, Miami, Navy, Oklahoma, Temple, and UCF are also set to compete.

The Tar Heels raced against Boston College to start the day, capturing wins in the 1V8, 2V8, and 2V4 to total three wins. UNC would later face George Washington picking up wins in the 2V8, 1V4, and 2V4.
