Jubas Named To CoSida Academic All-District Team

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina softball's Sara Jubas has earned Academic All-District Softball honors, as announced on Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The honor is based on both academic and athletic achievement during the 2021-22 school year. Jubas is one of 11 softball players in District 3, which includes D1 schools in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Jubas, from McDonald, Pa., is in her first year of pharmacy school at UNC, working towards her Doctor of Pharmacy. The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is ranked the No. 1 pharmacy school in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
She graduated from James Madison University in 2021 with a degree in biology, finishing her undergraduate degree with a 3.98 cumulative GPA.
Jubas, who was named to the All-ACC Third team on Wednesday, led the Tar Heels with a .357 batting average, 17 doubles, 37 RBIs, 50 hits and 76 total bases this season. She also had the second most runs (32), second-highest slugging (.571) and on-base percentages (.471) and walks (24).
