Diamond Heels Announce Summer League Assignments

CHAPEL HILL – Nearly two dozen members of the University of North Carolina baseball program will scatter across the country to compete in various collegiate baseball leagues over the summer.
The Diamond Heels will be represented in five leagues on 13 teams with six players competing in the prestigious Cape Cod League and eight players staying closer to Chapel Hill, participating in the Coastal Plain League. UNC is sending two players to the Northwoods League, two to the New England Baseball League and one to the Florida Collegiate Summer League.
Additionally, 2022 All-American Freshman Team outfielder Vance Honeycutt will participate in the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp in July. The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp will feature 48-50 of the premier non-draft eligible college players for a five-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series in North Carolina from June 30–July 4.
