CHAPEL HILL – The 2022 Premier Lacrosse League season made its way to Long Island, one of the lacrosse hotbeds, for week three this past weekend. Eight former Tar Heels competed this weekend in Hempstead, N.Y., at Shuart Stadium.
June 17, 2022 || Chrome vs. Waterdogs
Justin Anderson had another great game in week three as he collected a career-high five goals to help lead Chrome to a tight 17-14 win. Zac Tucci made his professional debut for the Waterdogs as he went 15-32 at the face-off with a team-leading six ground balls. He also added an assist.
June 17, 2022 || Atlas vs. Whipsnakes
Rookie sensation Chris Gray led Atlas offensively with three points while scoring his first career two-point goal in the 12-9 loss to Whipsnakes.
June 18, 2022 || Archers vs. Cannons
Marcus Holman scored two goals and picked up five ground balls, while Mark McNeill added an assist and two ground balls in the Archer's 20-9 thrashing of Cannons. Stephen Kelly showed significant improvement from week two to three as he went 21-30 at the face-off with 13 ground balls in the losing effort. On the offensive side, he scored two goals.

Tanner Cook scored one goal, and Jack Rowlett caused one turnover on defense in the Chaos 11-7 loss to Redwoods.
