Ten Tar Heels Set To Start PLL Play This Weekend

CHAPEL HILL – Ten North Carolina men's lacrosse players are ready for Premier Lacrosse League action tomorrow. The former Tar Heels represent six of the PLL's eight teams.
The Chaos Lacrosse Club has the most Tar Heels on the roster, with Chris Cloutier, Tanner Cook, and Jack Rowlett all set to suit up. Marcus Holman and Mark McNeill are set to compete for Archers Lacrosse Club. Chris Gray, selected second overall in the 2022 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft, will join former Tar Heel defenseman Austin Pifani at Atlas Lacrosse Club.
Stephen Kelly moves over from Archers and will join Cannons Lacrosse Club this season. He went 89-193 at the face-off with 47 ground balls in 2021. In his rookie season with Chrome Lacrosse Club, midfielder Justin Anderson earned 10 points adding 15 ground balls and four caused turnovers. Zac Tucci was recently signed by Waterdogs Lacrosse Club and will compete at the face-off this season.
The Premier Lacrosse League will kick off its season on Saturday, June 4, when the Whipsnakes take on Chaos on opening day at Tom & Mary Case Stadium in Albany, N.Y. All games this season will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
