CHAPEL HILL – The Premier Lacrosse League made its way to Minneapolis, Minn., for week five this past weekend. Seven former Tar Heels competed this weekend at TCO Stadium.
July 1, 2022 || Archers vs. Redwoods
Marcus Holman collected a team-high six points (3 1-point goals, 1 2-point goal, 1 assist) to lead Archers to a close 10-9 win over Redwoods.
July 1, 2022 || Atlas vs. Chrome
Rookie Chris Gray led the Atlas offensive attack with two goals and three assists to hand Chrome their first loss of the season. Justin Anderson was quiet on the offensive side for Chrome but was able to pick up two ground balls on defense.
July 2, 2022 || Chaos vs. Cannons
Chris Cloutier did not disappoint in his PLL season debut, scoring two goals in Chaos's 13-11 win over Cannons. Jack Rowlett was Mr. Do It All for Chaos as he scored one goal, picked up three ground balls, and went 3-8 at the faceoff in the winning effort. Stephen Kelly went 11-20 at the stripe with five ground balls and one assist for Cannons.
July 2, 2022 || Whipsnakes vs. Waterdogs
Zac Tucci continues to be the main guy at the stripe for Waterdogs as he went 8-23 at the faceoff with two ground balls in the huge 11-10 win over Whipsnakes.
