CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Vincent Culpepper, a 2015 graduate of Indiana University, has joined the University of North Carolina men's lacrosse staff as Director of Lacrosse Operations.
A veteran coach in men's lacrosse, Culpepper comes to Chapel Hill after developing and launching the first Division III men's lacrosse program at Cairn University, where he served as the head coach.
"Joining Coach Breschi and Carolina Men's Lacrosse is an absolute honor and I am so excited to get to work with such a strong program," Culpepper said. "I have always said that in order to do great things you need to be around great people—and Coach Breschi and this program are truly great."
Culpepper graduated from Indiana with a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a minor in Kinesiology Coaching. A second-team all-conference defensive midfielder for the Hoosiers' lacrosse program, Culpepper also was a member of Indiana's DII men's club hockey team.
He has also served as the defensive coordinator at Wabash College and served as associate head coach at Xenia High School prior to his work at Cairn.
"It is incredible to be able to welcome Vince to the Carolina Lacrosse Family as our new Director of Operations," said Breschi. "Vince brings a wealth of knowledge of the sport, intense organization and an unmatched enthusiasm to help our team be the best it can be. I am so excited to work with him to continue to strengthen our program."
