Maher Selected To Preseason All-ACC Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina men's lacrosse defensive midfielder Connor Maher continued his sweep through preseason awards, being named to the Preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team, announced Tuesday afternoon by the league.
The Timonium, Md. native has garnered preseason All-America honors courtesy of USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse earlier this month.Â
Named a team captain prior to the 2023 campaign for the second consecutive season, Maher finished second on the team with 43 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers in 2022, while also recording two goals and two assists.Â
Last season, Maher saw action in all 14 games and was named a second-team All-America by Inside Lacrosse, USILA and USA Lacrosse Magazine. Maher was also named to the All-ACC team, the ACC All-Academic team and was a selected as a Top-10 UNC Scholar-Athlete.
