Tar Heels Earn Fourth Seed In 2023 Ally ACC Women's Soccer Tournament

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina has earned the fourth seed in the 2023 Ally Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Tournament after finishing the regular season with 20 points behind a 5-0-5 league record.
The fourth-seed Tar Heels will host fifth-seed Pitt on Sunday, Oct. 29, in the first round. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill and will air on ACC Network. Tickets will be available for purchase here.
The winner will advance to the semifinals and face Florida State on Thursday, Nov. 2, in Cary at the WakeMed Soccer Park. The Seminoles received a first-round bye after earning the No. 1 seed.Â
Seeking its 23rd ACC title in program history, Carolina owns 22 of the league's 35 championships and has appeared in the championship game 28 times. Its last championship crown came in 2019 and the team was the runner-up a season ago.Â
The Tar Heels own a 71-8-6 all-time record in the ACC Tournament.
