Coach Hubert Davis

On Armando Bacot:
"Armando has been amazing throughout his entire career, but there's a sense of urgency that I haven't seen in him, and I think that's because this is it. There's no more after this. And there's a passion and there's a desire in him to want to leave on a good note, whatever that looks like and so I love that he plays that way. That's something we need every game."

On Lehigh:
"There wasn't any panic, you know, when they cut it to three. There just wasn't any at all. There was there was a calmness of we need to execute on offensive and get the shot that we want and defensively we need to step it up and start getting some getting some stops"

On Harrison Ingram:
"From a versatile threat, that's exactly what I'm looking for. He's got great size. So if you put him at the three as a big guard, you saw tonight he has the ability to be able to post up and finish around the basket. You put a bigger guy on him and he's really comfortable out on the perimeter and can come off ball screens. He can shoot threes. He's an excellent distributor. I'm glad he's on our team. And his versatility, his size, and athleticism allow us to do a number of different things, not just on the offensive end, but defensively as well."

On RJ Davis:
"I just can't believe I've been able to coach him for four years and he just gives us whatever our team needs every day. There's a calmness because they've been there before and when you have RJ out there on the floor, you just feel like things are gonna work out and good things are gonna happen."

Armando Bacot:
On Early Struggles:
"I think we kind of came out slow and weren't really following the game plan. But coach obviously got on us and I think that spoke to the maturity of our team to be able to execute the plan that he wanted and to bring it up a notch."

On the Different Lineups:
"I love it. It's been fun to be able to be out there and play with a bunch of different guys. I think everyone brings different stuff to the table. With the starting lineup we have Paxson, Cormac, and RJ who are all guys who like to score. Then we bring in Elliot who likes to pass the ball. There are a lot of different versions of our team that we can bring out there and I think that's huge."

On Lehigh's Pace:
"I think it was huge for us to just go through that because later in the season we play teams like Virginia which like to play slow. We need to have the discipline to not turn the ball over especially in the second half and to also take great shots. One possession is really three possessions against a team like that."

RJ Davis:
On the Win:
"Early in the season, we have a lot of things to learn from and to work on. I'm proud of the way we overcame adversity a little bit."

On Lehigh:
"Lehigh has a really good team. It's hard to guard for 25 seconds each possession. Credit to them for the way they played and I'm proud of the way we were able to come out with the win today."

On the Team as a Whole:
"We have a lot of players who are able to provide a lot of good moments. At the same time, we're still learning how each other plays and just trying to get a feel for the chemistry."

Harrison Ingram:
On Tar Heels game plan:
"Every game is going to be a different focus. Today, we knew we could dominate them in the paint. Playing as an undersized four, I knew I could be the guy with my strength and quickness. Why take a three when I can get to the paint and get layups."

On scoring run in the second half:
"I think playing as a team. We all shot open shots. We can get open shots whenever we want. We have a lot of good players Elliot, RJ, I can go down the list. It's about getting the shot that we want. We were shooting shots that they wanted. They were going under screens. They were forcing us to take deep threes, which we can hit, but at the end of the day, we wanted to dominate them inside."

Seth Trimble:
On Lehigh:
"These are mid-major teams that are good but don't get a lot of attention. They come in with a purpose and a plan, and we might not realize it, but we are a lot team's super bowl."

On playing a perimeter oriented offense:
"It was fun. I got to move around more and work on some conditioning. It wasn't really a problem for us. We had to make a few adjustments."

On Harrison Ingram:
"His ability to be an all-around player stands out. I appreciate his versatility; he can play the three or the four, spread the floor, knock down shots from three, or play in the post. We will need him for scoring. I love that he is pass-first, but we are going to win games with him being aggressive and creating shots not only for himself but for everyone."

Lehigh Coach Brett Reed
On Carolina's Second-Chance Points:
"They did an excellent job on the offensive glass, which put us in a vulnerable position where we were drawing some fouls. When you give a good team like that a little bit of an extra advantage to be able to generate points from the line, the defense has to be a little more cautious."

On Armando Bacot:
"Bacot's a wonderful college player. He's been so productive. Carolina has a litany of just excellent players and for him to have the numbers, and be up even on the leaderboard, and everything else that he's generated over the course of his career is really a telltale sign of just how dominant he is and how much he helps this team. Tonight, he was certainly a major factor."
