No. 3 Men's Soccer Hosts Memphis In NCAA Second Round

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The third-seeded North Carolina men's soccer team (10-3-6) begins its journey in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, hosting Memphis (11-5-2) at Dorrance Field in the second round.Â

• Carolina earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the 30th time in program history.
• The Tar Heels are seeking their third national championship in program history (2001 and 2011).

• Entering Sunday, the Tar Heels have yet to concede more than one goal in a game this season, the third time the program has done so entering the national tournament.
• In 2012, the Tar Heels gave up just seven goals on the campaign, and in 2018, Carolina advanced to the NCAA Tournament without conceding multiple goals.
• Carolina ranks fourth in the nation with a goals against average of 0.62 goals per game.
• Goalkeeper Andrew Cordes ranks first in the country in save percentage (0.885) and second in goals against average (0.50).
