Men's Basketball Ready For Villanova In Battle 4 Atlantis Semis

• Carolina (4-0) plays Villanova (4-1) in the first semifinal in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis at 2:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Thursday.
• The Tar Heels rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to defeat Northern Iowa, 91-69, in the first round. The Wildcats advanced with an 85-69 win over Texas Tech.
• The winner of the UNC-Villanova game plays in Friday's championship game against the winner of Arkansas-Memphis at 3:30 p.m. The losing teams play in the third-place game Friday at 1 p.m.
• Dave Nathan and Adam Lucas have the call on the Tar Heel Sports Network.
• UNC is 4-0 with double-digit victories over Radford, Lehigh, UC Riverside and UNI by an average of 21.2 points.
• Villanova is 4-1 with its lone loss to Penn in the Palestra.
• Carolina's first-round win in the Bahamas was a tale of two halves. UNC made just 3 of 12 three-pointers and shot 33% from the floor in the first half and trailed 41-35 at the break as the Panthers shot 60% from the floor. However, the Tar Heels made eight threes in the first nine minutes of the second half and built a 67-47 lead after a 32-6 run.
• Harrison Ingram hit a career-best four threes, Cormac Ryan and RJ Davis were a combined 1 for 10 from the floor in the opening half then made a combined six threes in the second.
• Six Tar Heels scored in double figures led by Ingram's 16 and Elliot Cadeau's and Ryan's 15.
• Armando Bacot (19.5 ppg), RJ Davis (14.0) ppg) and Harrison Ingram (13.0 ppg) are averaging in double figures for the Tar Heels, who have opened with four wins for the second consecutive season and sixth time in eight seasons. Bacot and Ingram have scored in double figures in all four games.
• Carolina is averaging 86.0 points through four games and has scored 90 or more twice – 91 vs. UNI and 90 vs. Lehigh.
• This is the second straight year the Tar Heels are playing on Thanksgiving. UNC is 4-2 all-time on Turkey Day, including last year's win at Portland.

• Marcus Paige (21 points, six assists) and Joel Berry II (20 points) led the Tar Heels, who made 11 of 17 three-pointers. First-team All-America Brice Johnson had 14 points and eight rebounds.
• The last four times Carolina and Villanova have played were at neutral sites in Syracuse, Detroit, Kansas City and Houston.
