• Tennessee entered play tonight No. 1 in the country in defensive efficiency allowing 87.4 points per 100 possessions.
• Carolina scored a season-high 100 points, the first time it scored 100 since a 100-67 win over The Citadel on 12/13/2022.
• Carolina improved to 42-27 against AP Top-10 opponents in the Smith Center.
• Carolina scored 100 points against an AP Top-10 opponent for the 12th time ever and first time since defeating Virginia Tech, 103-82, on 1/21/2019. Carolina is 11-1 in those 12 games.
• Carolina scored 61 points in the first half, the first time it scored more than 60 in a first half since scoring 62 against Florida State on 2/12/2022. Prior to this game, Tennessee had not allowed more than 41 points in any half this season. According to ESPN, UNC is the first team to score 60 in a half against the Vols since Feb. 15, 2006.
• Carolina shot 57.6% in the first half, the sixth time UNC shot over 50% in a half this season.
• Carolina has scored 50 or more points in a half in three of the last four games.
• Carolina was 16 for 16 from the free throw line in the first half and made 32 of 38 for the game, the most the Tar Heels have both made and attempted since hitting 36 of 39 against NC State on 1/21/2023.
• RJ Davis scored 27 points, leading the Tar Heels for the third straight game and fourth time this season. It was the 23rd time he led UNC in scoring.
• Davis passed Deon Thompson for 39th on Carolina's all-time scoring list. Davis has 1,440 in his career, Thompson had 1,414.
• Davis made five of 11 three-point attempts, the fifth time in his career he made five or more three-point attempts.
• Carolina is 5-0 when Davis makes five or more three-pointers.
• Armando Bacot scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his 71st career double-double and third this season, extending his school record for career double-doubles. Carolina is 51-20 when Bacot has a double-double.
• Bacot passed Brad Daugherty for ninth on the all-time points list at UNC. Bacot has 1,926, Daugherty finished his career with 1,912 in four seasons.
• Bacot made a career-high 10 free throws in 13 attempts. It was only the fourth time Bacot has attempted 13 or more free throws in a game. His previous high was nine in six different games.
• Bacot and Davis both scored 20 or more points for the ninth time overall and second time this season. Carolina is 9-0 when both score 20 or more.
• Harrison Ingram tied his season high with 20 points, his second 20-point game of the season and fourth of his career.
• Ingram tied his career high with four threes, the third time in the last four games he has made four three-pointers.
• This was the first time three Tar Heels scored 20 points since a win over Ohio State on 12/17/2022.
• Elliot Cadeau had a career-high 10 assists, the first Tar Heel freshman to record double-digit assists since Marcus Paige had 10 against Florida State on 3/15/2013 in the ACC Tournament.
• Cadeau is the first Tar Heel to have 10 assists and zero turnovers since Paige on 2/21/15 against Georgia Tech.
• Cadeau is the first Tar Heel to have double-digit assists since RJ Davis had 12 against Marquette in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
• Cadeau is only the sixth Tar Heel in the last decade with 10 or more assists in a game. That list includes Cadeau, Davis, Joel Berry II, Theo Pinson, JP Tokoto and Paige.
• Carolina came into the game averaging 13.5 assists and recorded 13 in the first half and finished with a season-high 19.
• Hubert Davis is 55-24 as head coach, including 5-3 against AP Top 10 opponents.
• Tennessee's Dalton Knecht tied the most points by an opponent in the Smith Center with 37. Knecht shares the record with Lionel Simmons of LaSalle, who scored 37 on 1/9/1988.
• Knecht's 37 are the most by an opponent since Malik Monk scored 47 against UNC in Las Vegas on 12/17/2016.
• Tennessee shot 55.6% from the floor, the highest percentage by an opponent in a UNC win since Pitt shot 55.6% on 1/31/2017.
• Tennessee's opponents were averaging 61.5 points; the Tar Heels scored 61 in the first half.
• It was just the second time an opponent scored 100 points vs. the Volunteers in Rick Barnes' nine seasons as head coach.
• UNC scored its final 13 points from the free throw line. Carolina's last field goal was a three by RJ Davis with 6:56 to play to push the lead back to 10. It was the first time the Tar Heels didn't make a field goal in the last five minutes in a win since 3/9/2019 vs. Duke.
• RJ Davis became the fifth Tar Heel guard since 2000 to score 25 or more points in consecutive games (with Joseph Forte, Marcus Paige, Coby White and Cole Anthony).
• Elliot Cadeau became the third Tar Heel with 10 assists and no field goals in a game (Ed Cota twice and Ty Lawson).
• Carolina matched its season high with 12 three-pointers.
• The Tar Heels shot 32.1% from the floor in the second half, their lowest in a half in the first seven games.

UNC-Tennessee
• Carolina is 11-2 all-time against the Volunteers.
• This was the second time UNC scored 100 points vs. UT. Carolina defeated the Volunteers, 101-87, in New York on 11/24/2006.
• The Tar Heels are 159-69 against current SEC opponents and 6-1 against ranked SEC opponents in the Smith Center.
• Carolina has won 16 straight games against non-ACC opponents in the Smith Center. This is the longest-such streak since UNC won 22 straight home games against non-ACC opponents from 12/7/14 to 12/6/17. Head coach Hubert Davis has not lost to a non-conference opponent in the Smith Center.
