Hampton Named To Walter Camp All-America First Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton picked up his third All-America award in as many days this evening. Tonight, at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN, Hampton was named to the 2023 Walter Camp All-America First Team.
In 2023, Hampton tallied seven 100-yard games and was named a Doak Walker Award finalist and first-team All-ACC.
Amongst FBS running backs, Hampton ranks fourth in rushing yards (1,442) and yards per game (120.17), eighth in rushing touchdowns (15) and ninth in the country with 19.50 rushing attempts per game.
In the ACC, Hampton ended the regular season leading the conference in rushing attempts (234), yards (1,442), touchdowns (15), attempts per game (19.5) and yards per game (120.7).
Entering the season finale against West Virginia, Hampton ranks third in North Carolina history with 1,442 yards in a single season while his 15 rushing touchdowns rank fifth.
