No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 4 Boston College In National Title Rematch

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – A can't-miss game between two top-5 teams is happening Friday afternoon in Chapel Hill as the No. 1 University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team hosts No. 4 Boston College in a national title rematch at Dorrance Field. First draw is set for 4 p.m. ET.

The top-ranked Tar Heels secured a win during their last outing after defeating Virginia Tech, 10-6, on Feb. 24 in Blacksburg. Caitlyn Wurzburger led the way with a hat trick and three assists for a game-high six points while Reilly Casey tallied a game-high four assists.
UNC sits at 4-0 overall and starts Atlantic Coast Conference action at 1-0 following its win over the Hokies. With a 3-1 overall record and 1-0 mark in league play, BC took down Duke, 17-8, in its latest appearance.
The matchup between North Carolina and Boston College has established itself as one of the premier rivalries in the sport in recent years. The Tar Heels lead the series at 22-6, including a 6-4 mark in the past 10 meetings and a 10-2 record for games played at Dorrance Field.
The two foes went head-to-head three times last season with UNC coming out on top on each occasion. The Tar Heels held on for a 16-15 victory in Chestnut Hill during the regular season before a convincing 16-9 win to secure their sixth-straight ACC title.
In thrilling fashion, Carolina topped Boston College, 12-11, in the 2022 NCAA Championship to culminate its undefeated season with its third national title.
