CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina men's lacrosse defensive midfielder Connor Maher and defenseman Paul Barton were named to the Inside Lacrosse Media All-America list, announced Wednesday morning.
Maher collects Second Team postseason honors from Inside Lacrosse for the third-straight season, while Barton earns postseason recognition from the publication for the first time in his career.
Voted a team captain prior to the 2023 season, Maher appeared in all 14 contests this year, ranking fourth on the Tar Heels with 32 groundballs and second with 14 caused turnovers.
On the year, Maher collected multiple groundballs in nine contests, while causing a career best three caused turnovers on two occasions, against Denver (March 4) and Dartmouth (March 19). Offensively, Maher posted single-game career-highs in goals (2), assists (2), and points (3) throughout his final season in Chapel Hill. Last week, Maher was drafted 13th overall by Archers Lacrosse Club in the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft.
