COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Premier Lacrosse League capped off week three of the 2023 regular season this weekend, with seven North Carolina men's lacrosse alumni in action at the Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
June 16 - Atlas vs. Waterdogs
Chris Gray stuffed the stat sheet for the Atlas this week, scoring three one-point goals, one two-point goal, and handing out an assist. The six points on the day was a career best for the second year pro.
June 16 - Cannons vs. Chrome
Marcus Holman's five-point effort, on four one-point goals and one assist, helped the Cannons to their first win on the season. Holman ranks near the top of the PLL leaders, sitting tied for third in points (14) and second in one-point goals (9). Stephen Kelly won eight faceoffs, added four groundballs and dished out an assist for the victors. On the flip side for the Chrome, Justin Anderson found the back of the net once and handed out an assist, as the club fell to 1-2 on the young season.
June 17 - Chaos vs. Archers
Rounding out the weekend for the Tar Heels, the trio of Will Perry, Jack Rowlett, and Will Bowen continued the early season success for the Chaos. Perry scored one goal and had an assist, and the defensive tandem of Bowen and Rowlett combined for four groundballs and a caused turnover. In addition, Rowlett went 2-3 at the faceoff X. For the Archers, who suffered their first loss of the year, Connor Maher had an assist, two groundballs, and a caused turnover.
