LOUSIVILLE, KY. - Five North Carolina men's lacrosse alumni were named to the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League All-Star Game, Saturday night at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium in Lousiville.Â
Justin Anderson, Will Bowen, and Chris Gray were named to the Rising Stars squad, with Marcus Holman and Jack Rowlett teaming up on the Veterans squad.Â
Named to his second All-Star Game, Anderson has appeared in five games this season for the Chrome, tallying seven points (six one-point goals, one assist).Â
A first round draft pick for the Chaos Lacrosse Club in 2023, Bowen has added 11 groundballs this season, while being in the top-10 in the PLL with six caused turnovers.Â
Now an All-Star in his first two professional seasons, Gray has 16 points on the campaign, with eight one-point goals, one two-point goal and six assists for the Atlas.Â
For the veteran squad, Holman gets the nod to the All-Star game for the ninth time in his professional career. The 2013 Carolina graduate is second in the PLL in one-point goals (14) and third in total points (21).
After winning the gold medal with the United States' senior team earlier this summer, Rowlett collects his third All-Star Game recognition. In four games this season, Rowlett has collected eight groundballs and caused three turnovers.Â
The 2023 PLL All-Star Weekend gets underway Saturday evening with the Skills Competition, featuring Holman in the Accuracy Challenge looking to defend his crown in the competition for the fourth-straight All-Star Weekend. The Rising Stars and Veterans will square off at 7:30 PM tomorrow night, live on ESPN.Â
