FRISCO, TEXAS - The second half of the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League campaign got underway this past weekend, with seven North Carolina men's lacrosse alumni seeing action in The Lone Star State.
July 29 - Atlas vs. Chrome
Chris Gray scored two goals and dished out three assists to help the Atlas end a three-game skid. On the flip side, Justin Anderson found the back of the net once, and collected a groundball for the Chrome, which fell to 1-5 on the year.
July 29 - Cannons vs. Redwoods
Marcus Holman and the Cannons won their fourth-straight matchup this weekend, as Holman once again filled the stat sheet with four goals and three assists. On the year, Holman now ranks first in the PLL in points (28), and second in one-point goals (18).
July 30 - Archers vs. Waterdogs
Connor Maher and the Archers improved to 5-1 on the campaign, as the former Tar Heel defensive midfielder added two groundballs in the victory.
July 30 - Whipsnakes vs. Chaos
Will Bowen was effective on both sides of the ball for the Chaos, collecting his first career points as a professional with a one-point goal and an assist. On the defensive side, Bowen caused four turnovers and collected three groundballs. Also for the Chaos, Will Perry found the back of the net and Jack Rowlett caused a turnover.
