DENVER, COLO. - With just three weeks remaining in the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League regular season, the league traveled out west to the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on the campus of the University of Denver, Friday and Saturday night, with eight North Carolina men's lacrosse alumni in action.
August 11 - Chaos vs. Whipsnakes
The Chaos had four Tar Heels in action this week, with Chris Cloutier scoring two goals and collecting two groundballs and Will Perry recording nine shots on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, Will Bowen added four groundballs and caused three turnovers and Jack Rowlett registered three caused turnovers and a groundball, as the Chaos fell to .500 on the campaign.
August 11 - Archers vs. Chrome
Connor Maher recorded a groundball and a caused turnover in the victory, as the first place Archers improved to 7-1. On the other side for the Chrome, midfielder Justin Anderson found the back of the net once.
Atlas attackman Chris Gray dished out three assists in the matchup with the defending champion Waterdogs.
August 12 - Cannons vs. Redwoods
Marcus Holman continued to lead the Cannons offensive attack, with four one-point goals. The former Tar Heel attackman leads the PLL with 36 points and 24 one-point goals, with just two weeks remaining in the regular season.
