BALTIMORE, MD. - Eight North Carolina men's lacrosse alumni saw action this weekend in Premier Lacrosse League action, as the 2023 campaign rolled through Homewood Field in Baltimore during week seven of the regular season.
August 5 - Archers vs. Atlas
Former teammates Connor Maher and Chris Gray squared off in game one of the weekend, with Maher's Archers coming out on the winning end. Maher added two one-point goals, two caused turnovers, and a groundball in the victorious effort. On the other side for Gray, the Atlas attackman filled the stat sheet with four one-point goals, one two-point goal, two assists, one groundball, and one caused turnover.
August 5 - Whipsnakes vs. Chrome
Midfielder Justin Anderson recorded two shots in the nightcap of day one, as the Chrome fell to 1-6 on the year.
August 6 - Chaos vs. Redwoods
In his return to the Chaos gameday roster, Chris Cloutier scored four one-point goals and added two groundballs in the win. Midfielder Will Perry scored a one-point goal and scooped up a groundball, and the defensemen duo of Will Bowen and Jack Rowlett combined for two groundballs and two caused turnovers.
August 6 - Cannons vs. Waterdogs
Marcus Holman and the Cannons won their fifth-straight game, with Holman scoring two one-point goals, two assists, two groundballs, and one caused turnover, as the Cannons clinched their playoff spot with the win.
