234: Omarion Hampton rushed for a career high 234 yards last Saturday.
- Hampton now holds the UNC record for the most yards in a home opener. He is also is the first Tar Heel to rush for more than 100 yards in back-to-back home openers since Ethan Horton in 1982 and 1983.
- Hampton was named the ACC Running Back of the Week following week two.
- He was also named the Doak Walker Award National Player of the Week following week two.

1. Sam Howell led the Commanders (1-0) to a 20-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
- Howell was 19-31 with 202 yards passing and a touchdown. He also added a rushing touchdown in the week one victory over Arizona.
