Position: Wide Receiver
Hometown: Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Why North Carolina?
It's cliche, but UNCÂ truly felt like home when I was in the process of choosing where to go to college. I love Coach Brown, the coaching staff and I love Chapel Hill.
What are you studying at UNC? Professional plans after football?
I am studying Media and Journalism. After football, I want to work in sports media. If I could choose, I'd love to be a sports reporter that covers football or basketball.
What is your dream vacation?
I would go to the Bahamas. I would go to the Bahamas, sit on the beach and do nothing. To me, relaxing on the beach is the way to go.
If you had a chance to train and compete in the Olympics in a sport or event other than football, what would it be?
Rock climbing. I saw it at the Olympics a few years ago and it looked amazing. I think It's something I could pick up quickly. I think I could use my size and length to scale walls fast.
What's something that most people wouldn't know about you?
I like to read books. I enjoy a good book.Â
What is your million dollar idea?
A Bluetooth pillow. You can fall asleep without having headphones in your ear. You can listen to books, music, rain sounds or anything else you want without the pain of headphones in your ears.
What does J.J.'s ideal day off look like?
Honestly, I would sleep a lot. I'd sleep in, play Fortnite and then sleep the other half of the day. I'd find a way to be in bed all day.
You grew up playing basketball, what team did you grow up rooting for? Favorite player growing up?
While I was growing up, I rooted for the New York Knicks. It was tough, not much winning back then but I was a quiet Knicks fan. Yes, I am still loyal to them but it's still tough.
I loved Carmelo Anthony and liked watching Porzingis when he was in New York. I don't know why but those two were the guys I found myself rooting hard for.
Is there a hobby that is new to you or that you've been getting into?
Recently, I've been getting into golf. I am from Myrtle Beach, the putt-putt capital of the world where everyone golfs, so I needed to learn how. My 7-iron game is pretty good right now but I still can't drive straight to save myself. It'll go forward but it won't be straight.
Fortnite. Hands down.
