Track & Field To Host Dick Taylor Carolina Challenge On Saturday

CHAPEL HILL: For the second time in four years, the University of North Carolina track and field teams will host a home meet when they host the Dick Taylor Carolina Challenge on Saturday January 20th at the Eddie Smith Field House on the UNC campus.
Field events are slated to begin at 9 a.m., with track events to follow starting at 1 p.m.
The field of competitors on Saturday is scheduled to include student-athletes from Carolina, Campbell, Duke, Fresno State, High Point, NC Central, UNC Charlotte, UNCWÂ and Wake Forest, among others.
The UNC hosted its first home meet since COVID-19 pandemic last year at the Dick Taylor Carolina Challenge on January 14, 2023. It was the first meet in Eddie Smith Field House since it was renovated, including a new track surface, lighting, renovated coaches' offices, locker rooms, team lounge space, branding and more.

Fan Information:
• Admission at Saturday's meet is free, and the spectator entrance is the west entrance (facing Dorrance Field), glass doors between Dorrance Field and Eddie Smith Field House.
• Spectator parking is available in the Raleigh Road Visitor Lot, Rams Head, Boshamer Lot. Â
• ADA parking is available in the Navy Lot.
• Concessions will be available, located directly outside the spectator entrance.
