CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – A top-10 showdown will be taking place at Dorrance Field on Thursday, Oct. 31, as No. 8 North Carolina women's soccer rematches with No. 1 Duke in the regular season finale at Dorrance Field.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ACCNX with Daron Vaught and former UNC standout Brianna Pinto on call. Tickets are available for purchase here.

Prior to the game, the Tar Heels will honor its graduating class in Makenna Dominguez, Emerson Elgin, Asha Means, Bella Sember and Alexa Wojnovich as part of Senior Day presented by Carolina Alumni.

The Tar Heels enter the contest with a 14-3 overall mark and are 7-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. The Blue Devils sit at 13-1-1 on the year, including 8-0-1 in the league.

Carolina has already clinched a spot in the ACC Tournament, and seeding will be determined following all matches on Thursday. Duke clinched a first-round bye after being crowned the regular season champion on Oct. 27.

The Tar Heels are No. 1 in the NCAA RPI for the fifth straight week.
UNC is ranked No. 8 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll. The team has been ranked as high as No. 2 this season and has always been in the top-10.
This will be the 54th meeting between North Carolina and Duke. UNC leads the all-time series at 43-5-5, including 17-4-1 in Chapel Hill.
UNC has out-scored DU 152-40 all-time, including 10-4 in the last 10 meetings.
The last time UNC beat a No. 1-ranked team was on Nov. 10, 2019, in a 2-1 double overtime win over Virginia to win the 2019 ACC Tournament.
The last time UNC tied a No. 1-ranked team was on Oct. 21, 2021, in a 2-2 double overtime draw with Florida State.
UNC's Trinity Armstrong and Duke's Mary Long, both freshmen, are currently playing together with the U.S. Youth National Team at the FIFA U17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
Duke assistant coach Carla Overbeck was a three-time All-America selection for UNC from 1986-89, leading the Tar Heels to four unbeaten national title seasons. She was also a four-time NCAA All-Tournament and two-time All-ACC pick.
Kate Faasse (2), Aria Nagai, Olivia Thomas and Linda Ullmark have all bagged a brace this season. The last time Carolina had four different players with at least one brace was in 2020-21.
Goalkeeper Clare Gagne has been credited with eight of UNC's 10 shutouts. She had a career-high 13 saves at Florida State on Oct. 25, one off the program record of 14 from 1980. Her previous career high was five.
Carolina is two wins away from 950 in program history. The team reached its 250th ACC regular season victory on Oct. 10.

This will be the second meeting between UNC and Duke this season. The first Tobacco Road rivalry was a 1-0 Duke win in Durham on Sept. 5 for a nonconference game. Thursday's match will count towards ACC standings.
