On RJ Davis…
"I told RJ that it's not going to take long, you just continue to be the player that you have been over the past four years, and everything will take care of itself. I thought he was the key to the game in the second half. I thought his leadership in the locker room, his energy, his enthusiasm, the way he was leading in the locker room at half time was the number one key in getting everyone really excited to play a better second half."

"That was a different type of defense than we have seen this year. I'm sure we will see it more that year, but we just want to adjust to that. Then, we just want to focus and bring the intensity. We brought that in the second half but to bring that for a whole game is the biggest thing."

"That's the team that we are. We just have to find a quicker way each and every game to get off to that pace. We may start fast, but we aren't always playing our best basketball. We just need to find a way to get to do that because when we do, I really think we can be the best team in the country."

"The first one was good for a lot of reasons and then I hit a few more to get things right for me. So, I'd say it's a little bit of a confidence boost there."

"My teammates and coaches do a good job of keeping my confidence up. I've been a little hesitant on the court lately. But that's just in my own head, and it's always good to have a win."

On his preparation…
"I didn't do anything different, I just stuck with it. I feel like good things come for those who stay the course and trust the process, so that's what I'm trying to do."

Jalen Washington
On scoring a career high…
"I never worry about the points. My teammates did a good job of finding me. I did a good job of just rolling into the open spaces, running the floor and all that. So we got a good outcome, so it feels good."

On what clicked for them in the second half…
"I feel like it was a combination of getting into the flow of the game and then Coach Davis challenging us just to step it up and bring our energy up and our intensity up on both sides of the floor. And I feel like we took that challenge, whenever he asked that of us, and that's what we did, and we had a good outcome."

On his big celebrations tonight…
"That's a little junk thing I do in practice when, you know, I get an and one or something, just hit my head, just hit my chest. Sometimes when I just get too hype, that's just what comes out when I'm playing with a lot of passion."

On the team scoring 64 points in the second half…
"We came into halftime confident, just talking to each other like, 'We gotta stick with it, stick with the game and the game is gonna open up.' We went on a little bit of a run there and we got it. We just ran it up at the end."

On UNC's shift from a slow offensive start…
"We just knocked down more shots. We got all the shots we wanted to throughout the whole game, it was just a matter of knocking them down. I feel like it came together more towards the end."

On Cade Tyson's performance…
"It was cool seeing Cade do that. He does that everyday in practice. He makes a lot of threes, heavily contested. I think he'll be very good from now on…"

On his defensive presence into offensive aggressiveness…
"That was my focus tonight, to play as hard as I can on defense. I felt that it fed into my offensive game as well… I think it is more confidence. I have a bigger role on this team. My role is to take 9-10 shots a game. I just have to be more aggressive and confident this year."

Drake Powell
On his 11 boards…
"I think rebounding is a part of my game that I just try to do as well as I can. It's actually fun at times– jumping that high– and so I just try to do it consistently."

On Cade Tyson's performance…
"I think Cade is a really good shooter, and a little bit of an underrated defender as well. Him hitting as many threes as he did today, I think that's good for his confidence as we head to Maui. It makes us a very dangerous team, but besides his three-point shooting, I think Cade offers a lot to this basketball team."

On what Coach Davis's goal was for the second half…
"During halftime, Coach Davis told us that we just needed to play with a little bit more passion. So we were trying to have joy for our success… I was trying to play with a chip on my shoulder, especially in defense-offense, to crash the boards with enthusiasm."

On what it feels like when he jumps up and grabs a shot…
"I used to do it in AAU as well, high school, and now college. But within the flow of the game, it's something that really ignites the crowd– just to get them involved as we continue to dominate."
