CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina volleyball (18-3, 10-2 ACC) fought hard through five sets, but ultimately fell to No. 16 Georgia Tech (17-4, 9-3 ACC) on Sunday, Nov. 3.

The Tar Heels battled with the Yellow Jackets in the first two sets, keeping the score close, even though they lost both.

They climbed back out of that hole in the next two sets, notching several well-timed scoring runs to force a fifth and final set.

In that set, the Tar Heels forced multiple rallies, before falling 12-15.

NOTABLES:

Mabrey Shaffmaster is four service aces away from passing Dawn Wood(1983-86) for fifth all-time.
Taylor Eisert and Zoe Behrendt have recorded double-digit assists for eight straight matches.
Jackie Taylor tied her career-high in assists with two and solo blocks with one.
Chelsea Thorpe set a career-high with three assists.
