We can’t wait to have these alumni back on campus this weekend and see them wear Carolina blue once again. From Tewaaraton finalists to Honda Award winners, from World Team members to countless All-Americans – not to mention all the NCAA and ACC titles – these individuals have left a profound legacy on our team, University and community. As a coach, it’s always such a special moment to see our current players play against the people who paved a path of greatness for them.Jenny Levy, head coach

Sixteen of the alumni who will again don Carolina blue this weekend won an NCAA championship during their career, while 17 have been crowned ACC champion at least once.
Growney, Hoeg, Mastroianni, Moreno, Ortega, Trenchard and Woodruff were part of four ACC championship teams, while Hoffer won five.
Aldave, Barton, Fedor, Growney, Hoffer, Lantuh, Mastroianni, Moreno, Ortega, Thompson, Trenchard and Warehime were members of the undefeated season in 2022 that culminated in the program's third national title.

The alumni roster also features:
Two Honda Award winners
Five Honda Award finalists

One National Rookie of the Year

Additionally, several alumni have also represented the red, white and blue at World Championships. Hendrick, Mastroianni, McCool and Trenchard were all part of the U.S. squad that won gold at the 2022 World Championship under Levy.
McCool, who was named to the 2022 All-World Team, also won gold at the 2017 World Cup. McKenzie, née Falcone, is another two-time world champion (2009, 2013). She was named Defender of the World Cup in 2009.
Additionally, 11 of the alumni who will be in attendance at Saturday's scrimmage were drafted or have taken part in at least one season of the Athletes Unlimited professional lacrosse league.
Those alumni include Aldave, Bill, Falcone McKenzie, Growney, Hoeg, Mastroianni, McCool, Moreno, Ortega, Trenchard and Woodruff.
Moreno is the two-time defending Athletes Unlimited champion, having won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.

UNC’s 2024 regular season kicks off on Feb. 10 when the Tar Heels travel to face James Madison in Harrisburg, Virginia. Carolina hosts Liberty on Feb. 13 for its home opener at Dorrance Field.
