Baseball Welcomes GT To The Bosh For A Three-Game Series

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina will open a three-game ACC Coastal Division series against Georgia Tech on Friday at Boshamer Stadium. Due to the threat of inclement in the area Friday afternoon and night, game one of the series is scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. start.
The second game of the series is slated for Saturday at 2 p.m. with the series finale scheduled for Sunday at noon. UNC enters the game winners of 13 of their last 15 games boasting a 16-0 record at home.
The Tar Heels won each of their previous games in seven innings via the 10-run rule. UNC defeated Miami 18-6 on Sunday in the series finale before blanking UNCW 11-0 on Tuesday. Carolina has scored 29 runs and collected 29 hits in the last 14 innings.
Freshman Gavin Gallaher has recorded eight hits and seven RBIs in the last three games and fellow rookie Luke Stevenson collected five in those games. Redshirt sophomore Casey Cook, the ACC leader in RBIs (35), has hit safely in 18 of 22 games this season.
