Coleman Picks Up NFCA All-Region Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – North Carolina outfielder Alex Coleman was named to the NFCA's Division I Southeast all-region team, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Thursday. Coleman, who was also a Central Region first team honoree in 2023, picked up third team honors this season.
In her first season as a Tar Heel, the Asheboro, N.C., native, led the Tar Heels in batting average (.436), hits (72), runs (44) and multi-hit games (18).
She also posted the third-highest single-season batting average in program history and best since 1996. Coleman finished the regular season ranked No. 12 in the NCAA in batting average and No. 20 in total hits.
In ACC play, the junior outfielder hit .325 with a team-best 27 hits, a .378 on-base percentage and seven walks.
