Duffy Earns USA Lacrosse All-America Honors

SPARKS, MD. - North Carolina men's lacrosse attackman Owen Duffy was named to the 2024 USA Lacrosse All-America list, announced Wednesday morning.
Duffy, a product of East Quogue, N.Y., earns Honorable Mention honors to collect All-America recognition for the first time in his collegiate career.
In late April, Duffy was named the 2024 ACC Freshman of the Year and earned All-ACC honors.
On the year, Duffy tied for a team leading 32 goals and 54 points, as well as being second on the Tar Heels with 22 assists. His 32 goals are tied with Robin Beran (1973) and teammate Dominic Pietramala (2024) for the most in a single season by a freshman in program history.
In 2024, Duffy had seven games with three-or-more goals and seven games with five-or-more points.
Duffy was the sixth Tar Heel in program history to be named ACC Freshman of the Year, the first since goalkeeper Caton Johnson in 2019. Duffy was the fourth Carolina attackman to earn Freshman of the Year honors, joining Jeff Sonke (1998), Marcus Holman (2010) and Nicky Galasso (2011).
In addition, Duffy became the first Carolina freshman to be named to the All-ACC team since Galasso in 2011.
