Men's Soccer Tabbed Preseason No. 6

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - After advancing to the program's 14th NCAA Quarterfinal in program history a season ago, the North Carolina men's soccer program begins the 2024 campaign ranked No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Top 25.

Carolina is one of four Atlantic Coast Conference programs ranked in the top-10, joined by defending national champions Clemson (No. 1), Notre Dame (No. 2) and Stanford (No. 5). Also joining the Tar Heels in the top-25 from the ACC are Virginia (No. 13), Wake Forest (No. 15), Duke (No. 20), Louisville (No. 24) and Syracuse (No. 25).

The first preseason test for the 2024 Tar Heels is this Saturday, Aug. 10, when Carolina welcomes Campbell to Dorrance Field at 7 PM. Admission for Saturday's exhibition is free for all fans.

Carolina begins the regular season on Aug. 22, traveling to UAB. The regular season home opener is slated for Aug. 25 against Cal Baptist, the first of 10 home matches for the Tar Heels this season.
