Monday, a resident athlete with the New Jersey Regional Training Center, was a two-time NCAA qualifier for Carolina during his time as a Tar Heel. In July, Monday was victorious at 79 KG at the Grand Prix of Spain.
At 82 KG, Eischens will compete this weekend for the Tar Heel Wrestling Club in the Greco-Roman division. In April, Eischens went 3-0 at the Last Chance Olympic Team Trials Qualifier, advancing for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. In his lone season for the Tar Heels, Eischens won 13 matches on his way to qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
The champions of each non-Olympic weight class will represent the United States at the Senior World Championships in Tirana, Albania, Oct. 28-31.
