Heels Hold Nine-Inning Scrimmage On Saturday

Chapel Hill, NC--Â After being rained out on Friday, the North Carolina Tar Heels held a nine-inning scrimmage on Saturday afternoon that saw the Navy squad take an 8-3 win over Blue.
Offensive highlights: Jackson Van De Brake and Kane Kepley were the most productive hitters. Van De Brake was 4-4 with one RBI and three runs scored, including a 363-foot homer to left. Kepley was 4-6 with one RBI and one run scored. Lee Sowers, who was 2-4, and Sam Angelo, who was also 2-4, were the only other players with multiple base hits. Hunter Stokely drilled a 360-foot homer to right, while Angelo, Alex Madera and Perry Hargett each doubled.
Pitching highlights: Camron Seagraves, Kyle Percival and John Hughes threw for Navy, with Aidan Haugh, Boston Flannery and Hugh Collins tossing for Blue. Percival threw 4.0 scoreless innings  by giving up just two hits and fanning four while walking none. Hughes threw 2.0 scoreless innings, striking out one while retiring all six batters he faced. Flannery gave up just one run in 4.0 innings while striking out three with no walks.
The Tar Heels will next scrimmage on Sunday afternoon.
