Vician Named ACC Offensive Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina men's soccer forward Martin Vician has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced Tuesday afternoon.
Vician scored the game-winning goal for the Tar Heels in the 2-1 victory over Duke Friday last night, hitting the back of the net in the 78th minute.
The Bratislava, Slovakia native is the first Tar Heel since Milo Garvanian in 2021 to be named the league's offensive player of the week.
Vician leads Carolina and the ACC in goals (6), game-winning goals (3), while ranking second in the conference in points (12). In addition, the graduate student is tied for fifth in the country in goals.
Carolina is back in action Friday night at 7 PM, hosting NC State at Dorrance Field.
