CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Third-ranked North Carolina (5-0-3, 2-0-0 ACC) welcomes California (3-4-1, 0-2-1 ACC) to Dorrance Field, for the first Atlantic Coast Conference meeting between the two programs.

Carolina Fever Night
• The first 300 students in attendance will receive a free Carolina Soccer glass.
• All UNC students will earn two Carolina Fever points.

All-Time With California
• Saturday is the second all-time meeting between the two programs, the first since 2014.
• In 2014, the Tar Heels defeated the Golden Bears, 3-1, in the Carolina Nike Classic.
• California is one of two new ACC opponents for the Tar Heels this season, with a future meeting against Stanford on deck (Oct. 27).

Last Time Out
• On Tuesday, Carolina and Mercer played to a scoreless draw.
• The Tar Heels outshot the Bears 17-6 in the matchup, led by Vician's game-high four shots.
• Matthew Acosta, Jameson Charles, Andrew Czech, Charlie Harper, Tate Johnson, Riley Thomas and Martin Vician played the full 90 in the field.
• Andrew Cordes made one save on the evening.

Unbeaten Through Eight
• After Tuesday's decision, the Tar Heels are unbeaten through eight matches for the second-straight season, the first time since 1981 and 1982 when Anson Dorrance was the program's head coach.
• A season ago, Carolina began the year 4-0-4, on way to advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals.
• With a win or draw Saturday night, the Tar Heels will remain unbeaten through nine matches to start the season, the longest streak since 2015 (8-0-1).
