Heels Hold Long Scrimmage On Saturday

Chapel Hill, NC--Â After being rained out on Friday, the Tar Heels held a 10 1/2 inning scrimmage on Saturday to wrap up their fourth week of Fall scrimmages. Despite being outhit 9-7, the Blue squad took a 4-3 win. There was just one error in the long scrimmage.
Offensive highlights: Four players had multiple base hits. Tyson Bass was 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored on his 367-foot homer to right center. Tyler Parks, who doubled, was 2-4 with one run scored. Mitch Wilson was 2-3 with one RBI, while Alex Madera was 2-5. Macaddin Dye and Kane Kepley each had a double.
Pitching highlights: A whopping twelve pitchers saw action on the mound. Dylan Weber, Camron Seagraves, Matthew Matthijs, Cale Bolton, Will Simmons and Andrew Wallen pitched for Blue. Tom Chmielewski, Ryan Lynch, Olin Johnson, Cameron Padgett, Harrison Lewis and Mason Yokuml threw for Navy.
Chmielewski gave up one run on two hits while fanning six in 4.0 innings. Weber tossed 3.0 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out three. Seagraves gave up no runs on one hit in 3.0 innings. Johnson struck out three in 1.1 scoreless innings. Lewis struck out two in his 1.0 scoreless inning.Â
