The Tar Heel football home opener is just around the corner, and Carolina Athletics wants to make sure fans are prepared for their return to Kenan Stadium.
Check out the list below for updated game day experiences, procedures and stadium policies. More details and updates will be posted throughout the season on GoHeels.com.
North Carolina football fans will experience a colorful and modernized game day atmosphere when they cheer on the Tar Heels at Kenan Stadium this season. When fans gather at Kenan Stadium, they will see more than 196 game lights installed atop of the north and south sides of the stadium in 2023, along with 16 moving spotlights and customized logos, eight on each side of the stadium. As part of this project, the 172-foot-tall Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower also saw its existing halogen lighting fixtures replaced with 16-LED lights, allowing it to be lit after Tar Heel football victories, to honor national championship teams and during commencement.

The Bell Tower Walk is back! Greet the team as they follow the follow the Marching Tar Heels and cheerleaders from Bell Tower Drive to the steps of the Kenan Football Center. The Bell Tower Walk starts at the Bell Tower two and a half hours prior to kickoff.
New in 2024, the Bell Tower Block Party is a pregame fan experience at all home football games. Highlighted by the new Kickoff Club presented by Modelo and the Coca-Cola® Fan Zone, the Bell Tower Block Party will begin four hours before kickoff at every home game and will include a bevy of festivities surrounding Kenan Memorial Stadium on game day – including food trucks, games, The Ram Pen featuring Rameses, the traditional Bell Tower Walk by the football team and a host of other entertainment.
Cashless Transactions
Food and merchandise transactions will continue to be cashless. This limits the contact between guests and employees and improves the flow and speed of transactions to help reduce wait times. Accepted payment options include, but are not limited to, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Our vendors have invested in their point of sales systems and transaction times are expected to be much shorter this season!

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
Parking
Parking passes once again will be hang tags for the 2024 season for Rams Club members who qualify based on giving level. If you have not received your parking passes, please contact the ticket office directly at 919-962-2296 or tickets@unc.edu to arrange for passes to be re-sent.
Public Pay Parking (Debit / Credit Card or Pre-paid Only)
Public parking availability and pricing is for standard-sized vehicles. Only one vehicle is allowed per space. Public parking payment is by debit/credit card (VISA, Mastercard, Discover), Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Pre-Paid Public Parking (reserved) is available for purchase online in advance of the game. Purchase your parking and display phone or printed permit when entering the lot. Pre-paid public parking permits are valid for one-time use and scanned at entry. Parking permit price includes parking cost plus ParkMobile convenience fee. Limit of one permit per transaction, license plate required for purchase.
Parking on game day is $25. Pre-paid parking is $25 (plus ParkMobile convenience fee). Unsold spaces in the pre-paid lots will be made available for purchase on game day. The following are the Public Parking lots available for pre-purchase, except Jackson and Cardinal decks:
ADA parking will take place from the General Administration and ACC ADA parking with Transportation provided by Carolina Livery.

Tar Heel Express Gameday Shuttles
Will Service 3 Locations this season. Shuttles at the Friday Center Park and Ride as well as Downtown Chapel Hill Shuttle from Carolina Coffee Shop begin 3 Hours Prior to Game Time while shuttles from Southern Village will begin 1.5 hours prior to Game Time.

TICKETING
Digital Ticketing
All digital ticket purchasers will receive their tickets via email. The email must be opened from a smart phone in order to download the mobile tickets into their Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Pay Wallet (Android). Prior to entering the gates, ticketholders will present their digital tickets located in their Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Pay Wallet (Android) to scan into the venue. Tickets holders are strongly encouraged to download their tickets into their mobile wallets prior to arriving at Kenan Stadium. PREGAME ACTIVITIES
Turnkey Tailgating
Similar to seasons past, REVELXP will offer fans reserved tailgates in premium locations at football games including at the Bell Tower, the Amphitheater outside of the Kenan Football Center and other locations surrounding Kenan Stadium. Tailgate packages will include tents, chairs, tables, coolers, TV media packages, local catering options and beverage services and will accommodate groups as small as five guests up to 1,000. Bell Tower Walk
The Bell Tower Walk is back! Greet the team as they follow the follow the Marching Tar Heels and cheerleaders from Bell Tower Drive to the steps of the Kenan Football Center. The Bell Tower Walk starts at the Bell Tower two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff.
Bell Tower Block Party
New in 2024, the Bell Tower Block Party is a pregame fan experience at all home football games. Highlighted by the new Kickoff Club presented by Modelo and the Coca-Cola® Fan Zone, the Bell Tower Block Party will begin four hours before kickoff at every home game and will include a bevy of festivities surrounding Kenan Memorial Stadium on game day – including food trucks, games, The Ram Pen featuring Rameses, the traditional Bell Tower Walk by the football team and a host of other entertainment.
STADIUM ENTRY
Gates Open One and a Half Hours Before Kickoff
The gates to Kenan Stadium will open one hour and thirty minutes prior to the announced game time. We encourage fans to arrive to their seats early as the pregame festivities will begin approximately thirty minutes prior to kickoff.
Clear Bag Policy
Carolina Athletics encourages fans to leave all bags at home, but the following items will be allowed into Kenan Stadium.
Prohibited Items
Any other item that, in the judgment of Game Operations staff, poses a safety hazard or detracts from the ability of others to enjoy the event.
All permissible bags and containers are subject to search upon entry. Approved bags will be tagged to indicate the bag has been searched. Thank you for your cooperation.

Check out the newest Tar Heel Team Store location inside Kenan Stadium during any of the seven 2024 home games. Locations include Gate 6, to the left of Gate 3, sections 103 and 114 and the Tar Heel Team Store in the Blue Zone.

Water Policies
We want to make sure fans stay hydrated in Kenan this season! Free water will be available on the concourse at every game via the water monsters at Section 101/Blue Zone North Gate, Gate 2, Gate 3, Gate 5 and Gate 6. Fans are also allowed to bring in up to two 20 oz. unopened bottles of water to use and refill to stay hydrated.
Fan Conduct Policy
Carolina's image is shaped not only by our players, coaches and employees, but by our fans as well. Our goal is to create a high-energy environment to support our team while maintaining a wholesome family-oriented atmosphere. To ensure that all fans have a positive game day experience, each patron should act responsibly and be considerate of others. Stadium security personnel will respond to complaints of misconduct. Patrons who fail to comply with stadium policy after being warned will be subject to ejection or arrest. Acts such as fighting, being abusive to others, being intoxicated, throwing objects or committing other acts that may injure patrons or disrupt the progress of the game may result in ejection and/or arrest without prior warning. ACC policies support good sportsmanship at all times. Spectators are prohibited from accessing the field of play without proper game credentials. Violators are subject to arrest.

Rameses Recycles
Don't forget to recycle your bottles and cans inside the stadium! Bins can be found throughout the stadium and at the gates. Take your plastic stadium cups home and reuse them at your next tailgate!
When tailgating if you wish to recycle your bottles and cans, please bring them home with you; carry in, carry out. All materials left in the lots will be discarded as trash. Remember, no cups, paper plates, food or other non-recyclables in your recycling, at Carolina or at home!
Please tailgate responsibly. Leave your space clean.
Camera Policy
Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted at Kenan Stadium, except interchangeable lenses larger than 6". Please know video cameras may only be used during pre-game and halftime.
Disability Seating
Seating for patrons with disabilities are available upon game day arrival by speaking with the game supervisor at Kenan Stadium or members of the gameday staff.
First Aid
South Orange Rescue Squad provides first aid at Gates 2 (North Side) and Gate 6 (South Side) within Kenan Stadium.
Lost and Found
During an event you may check with game management staff at Gate 2 or 6 to see if an item of yours was found and turned in. After an event, all unclaimed items are turned over to the UNC Athletic Event Management Department. Please contact AthleticsLostAndFound.svc@email.unc.edu.
Lost Children
Parents/guardians with a lost child should contact the nearest police officer or event staff member. This person will then contact the proper personnel to ensure the quickest resolution to the situation.
If a child is separated from his/her party, he/she should notify the nearest police officer or event staff member. If the child knows his/her seat location, attempts will be made to return the child to that location.
No Smoking Policy
Effective January 1, 2008, there is NO SMOKING within 100 feet of any campus building including all areas of Kenan Stadium.

Water Policies
We want to make sure fans stay hydrated in Kenan this season! Free water will be available on the concourse at every game via the water monsters at Section 101/Blue Zone North Gate, Gate 2, Gate 3, Gate 5 and Gate 6. Fans are also allowed to bring in up to two 20 oz. unopened bottles of water to use and refill to stay hydrated.
Fan Conduct Policy
Carolina's image is shaped not only by our players, coaches and employees, but by our fans as well. Our goal is to create a high-energy environment to support our team while maintaining a wholesome family-oriented atmosphere. To ensure that all fans have a positive game day experience, each patron should act responsibly and be considerate of others. Stadium security personnel will respond to complaints of misconduct. Patrons who fail to comply with stadium policy after being warned will be subject to ejection or arrest. Acts such as fighting, being abusive to others, being intoxicated, throwing objects or committing other acts that may injure patrons or disrupt the progress of the game may result in ejection and/or arrest without prior warning. ACC policies support good sportsmanship at all times. Spectators are prohibited from accessing the field of play without proper game credentials. Violators are subject to arrest.

Rameses Recycles
Don't forget to recycle your bottles and cans inside the stadium! Bins can be found throughout the stadium and at the gates. Take your plastic stadium cups home and reuse them at your next tailgate!
When tailgating if you wish to recycle your bottles and cans, please bring them home with you; carry in, carry out. All materials left in the lots will be discarded as trash. Remember, no cups, paper plates, food or other non-recyclables in your recycling, at Carolina or at home!
Please tailgate responsibly. Leave your space clean.
Camera Policy
Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted at Kenan Stadium, except interchangeable lenses larger than 6". Please know video cameras may only be used during pre-game and halftime.
Disability Seating
Seating for patrons with disabilities are available upon game day arrival by speaking with the game supervisor at Kenan Stadium or members of the gameday staff.
First Aid
South Orange Rescue Squad provides first aid at Gates 2 (North Side) and Gate 6 (South Side) within Kenan Stadium.
Lost and Found
During an event you may check with game management staff at Gate 2 or 6 to see if an item of yours was found and turned in. After an event, all unclaimed items are turned over to the UNC Athletic Event Management Department. Please contact AthleticsLostAndFound.svc@email.unc.edu.
Lost Children
Parents/guardians with a lost child should contact the nearest police officer or event staff member. This person will then contact the proper personnel to ensure the quickest resolution to the situation.
If a child is separated from his/her party, he/she should notify the nearest police officer or event staff member. If the child knows his/her seat location, attempts will be made to return the child to that location.
No Smoking Policy
Effective January 1, 2008, there is NO SMOKING within 100 feet of any campus building including all areas of Kenan Stadium.
