Alex Coleman Named To Preseason All-ACC Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Alex Coleman has been named to the preseason All-ACC Team the league announced on Thursday afternoon. The honor is voted on by the coaches of the ACC.
The senior broke out in her first season with the Tar Heels last year, leading the ACC with a .436 batting average. She also led the team in hits (72), runs (44), multi-hit games (18), stolen bases (20-for-22) and runs (44). Her .436 average was the third-highest in program history and the best since 1996.
Coleman's batting average has seen a jump in each year of her career. She hit .324 then .427 in her two seasons at Marshall. She has also improved her on base percentage each season as well.
Between her sophomore and junior seasons her walks went up and her strikeouts went down.
Coleman and the Tar Heels open the 2025 campaign on Feb. 7 when they head to Auburn, Ala. for the Tiger Invitational.
