Men’s Soccer Buries Lipscomb, 3-0, To Extend Unbeaten Run To Seven

NASHVILLE, TENN. – The University of North Carolina men's soccer team put the pressure on Lipcomb all night and secured a 3-0 victory win its second in a row and extend its unbeaten streak to seven on Tuesday night. Luca Nikolai posted a brace in the first half and Bertil Rygaard Hansen tallied his first of the season to give the Heels the edge. The defense posted its third consecutive clean sheet and its fourth in five matches.
The Tar Heels improved to 6-1-4 (1-0-4 ACC), while the Bisons now sit at 1-7-3 (0-1-1 ASUN).

- 4' – After a flurry of shots, Luca Nikolai blasts a shot to the far corner for his second of the year, assisted by Nacho Abeal.
- 14' – Jack Sandmeyer shoots and forces a save from Alex Kara.
- 19' – Nikolai gets his brace with another rocket, assisted by Bertil Rygaard Hansen and Nacho Abeal.
- 20' – Nacho Abeal's shot is cleared off the line as Carolina kept up the pressure.
- 46' – Second half started same as the first. Carolina earned a corner followed by a shot that was blocked by Nacho Abeal.
- 48' – Immanueal Mathe earns a foul a the top of the box but Nikolai fires off the crossbar.
- 64' – A nice passage of play after UNC forced a turnover led to Nacho Abeal stabbing a looping pass just wide.
- 76' – Carolina earned a corner and Callum Frogson just missed the net on the near post with a diving header.
- 85' – Bertil Rygaard Hansen is rewarded for a strong performance with his first goal of the season.
