Streicher, Yeung Top 10 After 36 Holes In PDI Intercollegiate
February 3, 2025 | Women's Golf
The North Carolina women's golf team was tied for second place early in the third and final round of the PDI Intercollegiate before darkness halted play Monday evening at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
The start of the third round was pushed up to this afternoon to help finish the tournament on time as a second-straight late start due to fog is anticipated Tuesday morning.
UNC's Helen Yeung and Megan Streicher both shot 70-69 to tie for eighth place at 5 under par after 36 holes.
The Tar Heels shot 5-under 283 in Sunday's opening round and 8-under 280 Monday in the second round. Streicher did not make a bogey in the second round, while Yeung made just one in shooting 3 under.
Baylor was 25 under par through two rounds to vault into the lead. Duke (18 under), UCF (-16), Kansas (-14) and Carolina (-13) ranked two through five following 36 holes.
Kansas' Lauren Clark shot 66-67 for the individual lead at 11-under 133.
Carolina's Inez Ng (72-70) was 27th at 2-under 142 and Ing Iadpluem (71-72) was 43rd at 1 under. Reagan Southerland (72-74) opened her final round with birdies on each of the first three holes.
