Ustby Named A Top 10 Candidate For The 2025 Cheryl Miller Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Cementing her legacy as one of the top forwards in North Carolina women's basketball history, the accolades for Alyssa Ustby grows with the fifth-year Tar Heel named a Top 10 Candidate for the 2025 Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Award on Wednesday.
No stranger to the award, Ustby earns a spot on the top 10 list for the third year in-a-row and was one of the five finalists in 2024. In her final season in Chapel Hill, Ustby is nearly averaging a double-double with 11.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per outing.
In Atlantic Coast Conference play, Ustby is shooting the ball at an efficient rate by draining 45.5% of her shots from the field and 36.4% from beyond the arc. Against Stanford, she tied her career-high with four made triples against the Cardinal.
Etching her name in the history books, Ustby currently sits at No. 17 overall in scoring at Carolina with a total of 1,710 career points. She also has the chance to become the all-time leading rebounder in school history, currently at No. 3 with 1,181 total rebounds.
The final five for the 2025 Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year award will be announced in March.
