Davis, Jackson Earn 2024-25 ACC Honors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—RJ Davis earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for the second straight season and Ian Jackson made the All-Freshman Team, the ACC announced Monday in preparation for the start of the 2025 ACC Tournament in Charlotte.

Davis, Carolina's leading scorer at 17.3 points per game, was the sixth-leading vote getter for all-league honors, earning the top spot on the All-ACC second team. The graduate student from White Plains, N.Y., was the league's Player of the Year in 2023-24. He is Carolina's second-leading scorer all-time with 2,640 points and is the Tar Heels' all-time leader in three-pointers (344) and free throw percentage (86.3). He scored 20 points on Saturday vs. Duke, his 10th 20-point game this season.

Davis joins ACC Player of the Year Cooper Flagg of Duke and Pitt's Jaland Lowe as the only players in the top 10 in the conference in both scoring and assists. Davis is eighth in scoring and 10th in assists (averaging a career-high 3.8) and is also second in free throw percentage (.881) and fourth in assist/turnover ratio (2.37).

Jackson earned the third-most votes on the All-Freshman Team and finished third in voting for the Sixth Man of the Year. The Bronx, N.Y., native is second on the team in scoring (13.3 ppg), three-pointers (56) and three-point percentage (.409).

He is the fourth-leading scorer and has the second-highest three-point percentage among ACC freshmen. Jackson has scored in double figures 19 times, led the Tar Heels in scoring 10 times (including eight wins) and scored 20 or more points eight times, including a season-high 27 at Notre Dame. He made a season-high five three-pointers three times, all on the road.

Jackson is the 26th Tar Heel to earn ACC All-Freshman honors. Elliot Cadeau made the team a year ago.
